A* Learning Services is looking to expand our bank of quality English/Maths/Science tutors (with immediate work available for the right person).
Perfect for former or part-time teachers, or those with some availability in the evenings.
A full application process and sample interview lesson will take place, along with all the usual personnel checks and reference requests.
Clients we currently work with: parents (state and private), schools, LEAs, alternative provision organisations.
Tuition to take place at a student’s home, public space (e.g. library), online, or private office space in Foundry (Dolphin Centre, Poole).
Competitive rates of pay.
Must have:
- Confidence and passion for English/Maths/Science
- Experience with relevant examinations for age range (e.g. SATs, GCSEs, A Levels, Functional Skills)
- DBS Enhanced certificate (within last 3 years)
- DBS Update Service
- PGCE and degree
- Safeguarding Level 2 training
- Self-employed status and right to work in the UK
- Own valid tutoring insurance
- Access to car, full driving licence and own business car insurance
- Experience of in-person tuition for students with SEND
- Strong ICT skills
- Good personality and empathy
- Up-to-date CV which includes full employment history
- Access to all qualification certificates for validation
Prefer:
- Ability to offer additional subject(s), e.g. Statistics, History
- Commitment to a student for the mid-to-long-term
- Individuals who can project manage themselves
- Open to development/training opportunities
- Zoom licence for online tuition
