What is mentoring?

Mentoring for young people is a supportive relationship between a more experienced individual (the mentor) and a younger person (the mentee). The mentor provides guidance, encouragement, and advice to help the young person grow personally, academically, or professionally.

A mentor can help a young person:

  • Build confidence by offering encouragement and positive reinforcement.
  • Develop skills through advice, training, and shared experiences.
  • Set goals and create a plan to achieve them.
  • Navigate challenges by providing support in difficult situations.
  • Expand networks by introducing them to opportunities and connections.

Thank you all. ********* was a little bit nervous and skeptical this morning (not sure why!), but she came home absolutely buzzing with enthusiasm and confidence! She really enjoyed your time together.
